Function Description The Regulatory Service Management (RSM) team is part of the Strategic Enablement & Governance (SEG) organization in Controllership. RSM is a techno-functional group responsible for supporting the system operations for various Finance functions like US Regulatory Reporting, Credit Reserve, Reserve Bank of India Regulatory Reporting capabilities and various other process automation done using technologies like Blue Prism, Data Watch etc. This team has a holistic understanding of the data sources, processes, and outputs, and the ability to trouble-shoot and resolve problems related to the numerous data sources and processing involved on various Finance technology systems. Purpose of the Role The purpose of role is to ensure that all technology operational processes are successfully executed to support various process owners within the Finance Organization e.g., GFO, Regulatory Reporting & other Controllership/ Finance teams. The individual in this role is required to have techno finance mindset and will be required to ensure smooth system operation. Responsibilities This Analyst role is responsible for ensuring that the Operational Processes are properly tracked, executed, managed, and monitored across all automation platforms like Blue Prism, Datawatch etc. More specifically: This role will work closely with Automation COE (Development team) within the SEG organization as well as data and system/process owners across the organization to provide seamless operational support through systems monitoring, operational execution and troubleshooting issues. Ensure that all the system processes are executed within the predefined SLA. Effectively work with key stakeholders across multiple technology application and Finance processes across Controllership & Finance Organization This person will ensure that all processes adhere to compliance to regulatory, audit & control requirements including providing support for SOX/Operational control testing as per PRSA guidelines. Participate in projects and recommend effective solutions across multiple stake holders Supports or leads process/customer level projects Creation, operationalization, and monitoring of process scorecard/ dashboards to keep the health of the process in check Behavioral areas Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with leadership Analytical bent of mind to solve problems, and interpret/analyze data and trends Ability to keep the team engage, and develop them to succeed in their roles Transformational approach to drive continuous improvement and process efficiencies Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills with a proven track of positively collaborating and influencing Bachelor’s in computer science (preference), Accounting or Business Prior experience in technology systems maintenance and support function Proficient in Finance domain/ process knowledge or prior experience working as Finance/Accounting subject matter expert Demonstrates sound analytical skills. Project Management skills Experience Experience on Finance Accounting/Reporting/ RPA systems or processes Experience with operational processes to meet SLA, and drive continuous improvements Experience working closely with Technologies to develop/deploy/support systems to re-engineer processes and/or solve complex business problems Technical Skills Blue Prism or other RPA tools (Blue Prism, Data Watch, Machine Learning etc.), Windows and SQL server, PL/SQL, BI systems (OBIEE, Tableau) preferred Oracle Financials (eBiz suite, GL, FAH, HFM) Knowledge of AXP systems (ARDW/MSTR/AXIOM/Documentum,ODS/OFSAA) preferred American Express is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, or any other status protected by law.
