Job Description Chief Operating Officer, will play a key leadership role in a high-performance team that produces products and services of exceptional quality. This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of every element of the business -product delivery, customer success, finance, legal, team culture, and more. Responsible for managing the complete Moving things Portfolio Moving Goods/ Moving People leading and establishing industry-leading business within Ford Next India on relationship outlined in the Ford+ plan. The position also ensures to better serve customers by reducing complexity and democratizing emerging technology, including helping customers seamlessly. Ensure the development, implementation and monitoring of effective strategies and business/marketing plans, in line with the overall global Ford Next Strategic priorities. Work closely with Ford Next India’s CEO to build the business and lead the organization Will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to direct reports and team. Work closely with CEO to define key organizational processes including team and individual goal setting, project roadmaps, performance evaluations and training for the entire Moving Things portfolio business. Ensure that all functions are aligned with Ford Next strategy and crafting value for customers. Cultivate healthy communication and collaboration across all departments. Grow and develop the organization to support business growth. Standardize repeatable and predictable processes to improve quality and scalability. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth. Lead all aspects of daily operations of the company. Mentor, grow, and lead a dedicated, motivated, and inclusive organization. Establish policies that promote company culture and vision. Foster a customer-centered culture that prizes innovation, experimentation, user centricity, and value creation. Strategizing and executing projects involving critical & high-value mobility segments Improving efficiencies within first mile, line haul and last mile by network optimization and other related initiatives Innovating & developing a hyperlocal network for high value business backed on a tech-enable platform Experimenting with disruptive technologies and standardizing processes based on market benchmarks & best practices to drive better efficiencies in partner with CTO. Setting up teams and frameworks from scratch for the new solutions aligned with evolving needs Identify new market opportunities to accelerate growth Present operational strategy recommendations to the CEO based on your market research Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy Build a robust business model that returns an adequate profit to sustain and turn the business into a company with a stable and growing market. Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the CFO, CEO and other key executive team members. Partner with the CFO to achieve favorable financial results with respect to sales, profitability, cash flow, mergers and acquisitions, systems, reporting and controls. Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and profitability. Area of professional exposure (technical skills) . Bachelors in a business management, strategy, innovation and design, or closely related field. . 10+ years’ of experience leading high-performance teams. . 5+ years’ of experience helping teams build systems for fact-based decision making. . Forward-thinking approach to identify business opportunities and challenges to fully engage and realise the potential of the business. . Strategic thinking and ability to manage within highly competitive environment . Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, motivational and communications skills with the ability to manage within a diverse environment . Good knowledge or be agile to understand Ford systems & processes . Will empower progressive thinking to quickly react to the opportunities in the market while maintaining excellent levels of service and regulatory compliance. Has the business insight, commitment, and drive to deliver . Ability to influence, effective communications (internally and externally), able to obtain crossfunctional support, managing extended team and partner relations . ‘Zoom in/zoom out’ able to see the big picture, also able to translate into clear/discrete next steps strategic thinker and able to keep things moving from day-to-day . Technical skills e.g. project management, business model development, business development (due diligence, contracts), apps/IT/connectivity . Superior business acumen and extensive experience in Marketing, Sales and Service of mobility businesses . Strong Independent with an ability to drive synergy, work within the Organization whilst challenging traditional mindsets, influencing other leaders ‘to go’ and building confidence and relationships along the way with Global stakeholders external clients, customers, partners, government, media, etc
