As we keep scaling, we will grow our user base of paid as well as freemium users through impactful, data-driven and creative marketing. As a Content Marketing Manager for Specials, you’ll be overseeing the promotion of Telugu original shows and developing and managing the marketing campaigns for the same. You will be responsible for driving affinity towards content on Disney+ Hotstar and paid user and freemium user adoption. You will create and deploy a marketing strategy that will position Disney+ Hotstar as the platform with the highest quality original content in India, and make it the default platform of choice for original content. You will be executing Disney+ Hotstar’s vision of building an entertainment destination intrinsic to the lives of consumers.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and building best-in-class content marketing campaigns for Hotstar Specials in Telugu which are driven by innovation to build high ITW (intent to watch) and ITS (intent to subscribe).
  • Generate top of funnel viewer sampling and subscription conversions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Platform, Content, Social, PR, Digital and Creative Communication teams to develop marketing creatives and ideas and collaborate with Production houses and talent to build show viewership.
  • Lead the campaign strategy and development workflow to deliver campaign goals.

  • Consistently measure the performance of show marketing campaigns and make timely adjustments to improve the marketing outcomes as well as and making the relevant recommendations to improve our promotion strategy.
  • Collaborate with analytics /product/growth teams to develop frameworks & analytical models to predict outcomes (viewership growth or subscription growth) on the back of differential marketing investments with the aim of maximizing ROI and optimizing CAC on marketing campaigns.
  • Manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously and solve the key challenges of quality and quantity from a marketing perspective.

WHAT TO BRING

  • You are a thought-leader with a strong and well-informed point of view to critically analyze the latest trends and tactics to help grow earned media.
  • Experience between 7-9 years in content/brand marketing in media/ OTT/ fast-paced consumer focused business and growing a social audience.
  • Experience in building brands & category and passion towards Tamil/Telugu content and digital entertainment.
  • Can speak and understand Hindi/English + at fluency in at least one South regional language is a must (Tamil &/OR Telugu).
  • Experience in building strategic and creative consumer marketing campaigns, preferably with a background in entertainment (Subscription/TV and/or film) or worked at a top innovative brand, advertising or media agency with an emphasis on Content Marketing or Social Media.
  • Have deep knowledge in running a 360-campaign, from strategy development to tactical execution (including AV/trailers, digital/social, print and out-of-home).
  • Understanding of the digital ecosystem, current marketing trends in acquisition as well as brand-building, marketing opportunities.
  • Should have understanding of marketing, social and media analytics to evaluate performance and impact of creative campaigns to aid optimization of marketing campaigns.
  • Is a cross-functional leader who is able to engage, listen and collaborate with internal teams to align on overall strategy and goals as well as creative partners including show runners, production houses and talent.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously working both independently and in close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
