Preferred qualifications: Experience in one or more of the following verticals: FinTech, Media, Gaming, EdTech, Retail, and SaaS. Experience influencing across different functions and levels in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment. Startup Investing experience and/or portfolio management experience. Experience presenting to business leaders (e.g., internal and external) with crisp communication skills. Knowledge of Google advertising products and/or GCP. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google’s partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google’s newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce. ‘Cross-Google’ in the role title means that you’ll look across all Google products to bring into your partnership discussions, as opposed to focusing on a single or a few product areas only. You will bring the best of Google to Venture Capital (VC) firms, with a long-term view of success for their portfolio companies. Through your partner management work, you will proactively help VCs by being trusted and knowledgeable advisors for their startups (e.g., advising on business topics, Google product topics, and navigating the broad Google organization) to drive effective partnerships. You will be the centralized Point of Contact (POC) for your VC partners but you can count on many Google teams in the background to support your partnership work. Responsibilities Manage Google’s relationships with VCs/Founders of India’s startups via partnerships and agreement-making that build joint business value. Drive a structured process to deeply understand each VC’s distinct needs and map those needs to where Google products and support can help. Serve as a VC and startups subject matter expert and thought leader within Google. Drive joint thought leadership with VC firms around emerging topics like Web 3, Developer Tools, SaaS, etc. Drive ad-hoc strategic initiatives related to VCs and/or startups, typically in support of Google executive leadership and/or Google product area (PA) leadership. Execute one-to-many initiatives to bring together VC and startups partners with relevant Google stakeholders. Drive transparent and open coordination with internal stakeholders. Manage a high degree of complexity related to cross-Google agreements and a complex matrix of internal stakeholders
