Job Description

Technical Publication Service Area produces a suite of documents that provide maintenance data for keeping the assets/equipment’s safe with maintenance procedures and operational instructions. The subject matter expert is expected to provide technical leadership and direction to all our accounts in the Technical Publication Service Area. This SME will focus in the area of capability development, capacity acquisition and development of hyper automation toolkit and implementation of digital transformative ideas to transform the customer experience in the field of aftermarket and technical publications.

The SME will report directly to Service Area Head and will be responsible for providing technical leadership to all accounts in the company. The role is primarily based over two sites (Hyderabad & Bengaluru) with a global customer base.

Key elements of the role is to bring transformation in the technical publications service area.
Competency transformation by developing and implementing strategies and plans for competency and capacity acquisition.
Capability transformation by development of functional capability which include people, processes, methods and tools.
Hyper automation in key processes thus bringing competitiveness and productivity savings.
Accountable for working closely with the delivery/sales function and his/her customer equivalent to understand the strategy of the customer, problems of the customer and to translate this into a business growth strategy and plan.
Educational Qualification:
Aerospace / Mechanical / Computer Science Engineering Degree or similar
Digital courses in the area of Data Analytics, IoT, AR/VR, AI / NLP Based solutions
10-15 years of experience in engineering functional/ technical leadership role in the area of technical publications/aftermarket.
Technical Competency:
Possesses end-to-end experience in complete technical publication SA
Hands-on experience of implementing digital transformation initiatives
CMS Deployment and training experience for customers
IETM Development and testing experience along with stylesheet development.
Development of 3D catalogues, animations, AR/VR based training and maintenance solutions.
Experience in AI/NLP based solutions, development of e-commerce platform for tools/spares for maintenance.
Experience in automated translation/localization services
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for defining, implementing and delivering capability (methods, processes and tools, people) (who and how) and competency acquisition strategies.
Define and implement training programs that enable all staff to achieve their potential and support reskilling/upskilling/future skilling initiatives. Experience with e-Learning and building of learning management systems would be added advantage.
Identify key process areas for Hyper Automation and approval of business cases to implement them in multiple accounts resulting in competitiveness and productivity savings.
Implement a systematic approach to continuous improvement ideas and work towards improving cost of operations to improve margins.
Responsible for working closely with the delivery /sales function and his/her customer equivalent to understand the strategy of the customer, problems of the customer and to translate this into a business growth strategy and plan.
Develop and implement the actions to deliver a step change in quality of deliverables and customer satisfaction.
Create a culture of success, innovation and business/goal driven organization.
