Engineering Director- Unified Workspace Unified Workspace refers to our end-user computing environment that spans laptops, desktops, mobile and virtual desktop infrastructure. This group is a part of the larger Digital Workplace organization, which provides the technology that American Express colleagues use every day to get work done.As theEngineering Director inUnified Workspace, youwill have responsibility forleading Engineering,Deliveryand Operationsofdevices, operating systems, and browsersforthe global colleague base. Role and Responsibilities The AmexUnified Workspaceis howcolleagues and partners gain access to andinteract with American Express data, capabilities, and applications. As the leaderofthis group, you will: Provide a streamlined set of integrateddevices,apps,and user management functions across allworkspaces, enabling the quick and efficient delivery ofsecure,modernIT capabilitiesand services Deliver anOperating systemand device-agnostic experience that provides the data and applications our colleagues needanywhere, on any networkkeeping in mind data security &compliance needs Implement security architectures that protect data beyond the confine of companynetworks/boundaries Participate in globalinitiativesand contribute with day-to-day supporton SoftwarePackaging, Distribution, Patching and Testing/ Quality Engineering Measure and elevate Colleague experience and satisfaction with their EUC environment Streamline colleague experience for multiple journeys including on-boarding, off-boarding,and device replacement Migrate and operate the management platforms used for desktops/laptops and mobile devices to cloud-based modern management Engineer and operate the virtual desktop infrastructure necessary to support access to Amex data and applications by contractors and other 3rdparties Perform software asset management for all endpoint computing Automation in support of operations, self-healing, and user self-service Manageoperational support of environmentin close collaboration with Digital Workplace Global teams leveraging follow the sun model Professional Qualifications Strong experience inEUC (End User Computing)Tools andplatformsincludingmodern management,automation,andscripting Advanced experience withOperating systems(Windows, MacOS,iOS,and Android)-management, securityarchitecture, and configuration Experience inMobileMDM (Modern DeviceManagement) usingMobileIron,VMware,InTune, Blackberry Advanced understanding of virtualization platformslikeVMwareHorizon/Workspace One, CitrixXenDesktop Experience withEndpointSecurityproductsincluding SymantecDLP,Crowdstrike,and Tanium Experience inSoftware distribution across operating systems (including SCCM, JAMF, App Volumes) Experience with identity and user management tools including (AD, Okta, etc.) Enterprise-scale experience with communications (telecom, VoIP, SIP), collaboration(conferencing, chat, social, video) Exposure toend user experience toolsetslikeNexthink Browser technologies and desktop middleware Working knowledge of data engineering, analytics, and Machine learning Creative, passionate, and experienced leader of both people and technology Team Management savvy (e.g., planning, budgetary control, people management, vendormanagement, etc.) Well versed in AGILE methodologies and Program Management methods Bachelor’sdegreewith a preferencefor Computer Science
