Job Description The Ford Credit Head of Engineering in India will oversee Ford Credit’s in-country Technology & Software Platforms (TSP) software product teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned technologist, coach, and leader with passion for technical excellence. Partnering with your peers in other regions, you will lead a technology-driven transformation, putting in place modern design and development practices using the latest technologies. Success is building a delivery machine that helps Ford Credit achieve its business outcomes and objectives. This position reports to Ford Credit’s CTO, who reports to the CEO of Ford Credit. As Head of Engineering in India, you will: Lead a team of 300+ experienced technical professionals in India (80% Engineering, 20% Product Managers) to build, grow and maintain all of Ford Credit’s digital assets and touchpoints across Ford Credit Operations. Transform the organization by assessing, evangelizing, and introducing modern technologies and capabilities across the organization to improve Ford Credit’s effectiveness Be the catalyst for technology transformation across the digital organization to ensure that Ford Credit TSP has the appropriate software development process, organization capabilities and automated solutions to enable Ford Credit strategies. Monitor and introduce trends, new and emerging technologies, processes, and best practices on the digital area. Innovate and operate with an Agile, API, and Cloud-Native perspective Provide industry thought leadership for Policies, Processes, People and Tools, while driving a software development lifecycle. Continue to evolve the organization in support of the PDO model and use of Agile methods Take an active role as a technology business partner, involved in the advancement of modern technology applications and strategies for customer-facing solutions that drive loyalty and grow customer lifetime value. Drive the culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Verifies that the delivered software group products meet desired encryption, security, and business outcomes. Area of professional exposure (technical skills) . 12+ years of product development and software / IT engineering industry experience . 10+ years of direct people management experience . 10+ years of experience of working in SaaS (software as a service) industry . Leading Digital Transformation for large organizations using cutting edge Cloud Native technologies, Cloud based Data Analytics for predictions, Product Model based delivery, and SRE operations and automation. . Demonstrated technical vision with strong DevSecOps expertise across large-scale Agile teams. Ability to identify key drivers, core assumptions, and significant trends across a complex, competitive landscape. . Experience in supporting complex applications/products across multiple technologies such as Java /SpringBoot /ERP/legacy. . Copious cloud experience on any provider . Deep tech stack background . Proven experience in leveraging digital, big data, cloud, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) for competitive advantage . Experience leading teams of greater than 200 people . Experience with leading cloud-based application teams . Experience with underlying application program (API) methods for systems integrations/data exchanges . Coordination, integration, and testing activities within and outside of the product line . Operational experience supporting systems in a 24.7 ‘always on’ environment . Deep troubleshooting skills and capabilities to lead a triage team across a complex ecosystem with multiple application and service providers in times of critical service interruption
