Position Overview The Engineer helps to develop application frameworks, applies them in response to business problems and participates as part of a team on development-related work. The engineer not only develops code but also helps and support the team during testing and production issues. Domain Knowledge: Global Transaction Banking: Client Administration, Entitlements, Reference Data Areas of Specialty: Software Design – Leverages reusable frameworks, shared services and open source libraries to satisfy business requirements while minimizing the development effort, maintenance and time to market and maximizing reliability. Software Development – Writes application code to meet the technical solution as well as mentoring and reviewing other SDE’s in the group. Test Automation – Leverages best practices and frameworks for developing software that performs unit, integration and negative test cases prior to release from software development into traditional QA & Test. Software review findings must be resolved Integrates software components following the groups integration strategy Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved Ensures that all code changes are tracked and recorded through the groups change management process as Change Items (CIs) and that development is scheduled and approved Provides Release Deployments on non-Production Management controlled environments Captures Build and Deployment notes, develops Software Product Deployment & Operating Instructions Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release, reference the Packages to the CMDB and ensure availability of the CIs within the DSL (Definitive Software Library). Supports creation of Software Product Training Material, Software Product User Guides and Software Product Deployment Instructions. Supports the development of Software Product Operating Instructions. Checks consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release. Manages maintenance of applications and performs technical change requests scheduled according to Release Management processes. Fixes software defects/bugs. Measures and analyses code for quality. Collaborates with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work, as required. Reviews and mentors other developers in developing mathematical calculations which perform to expected results and handle negative test case scenarios Experience/Exposure: Ability to write high quality code according to DB standards Ability to solve business or production problems Strong analytical skills Strong planning skills Proficient communication skills Proficient English language skills (written/verbal) Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations Excellent team worker Keeps pace with technical innovation Your skills and experience Expertise in Oracle 10G or Higher, Good Exposure and hands on to PL/SQL. RDBMS Schema design, Data Modelling , ER Diagram,Data Dictionary High Performance SQL data access – SQL scripts, Query optimization. Good experience of views, stored procedures, triggers, and advanced PL/SQL with Oracle. Experience in DBA activities – DR Activities, Storage Analysis, Back and Recovery, Archiving and Purging processes. Experience in No SQL database like MongoDB, CouchDB, CouchBase, HBase, Redis and Neo4J. Experience in JAVA will be an added advantage Experience with Golden Gate will be an added advantage Exposure to PostgreSQL RDBMS Exposure to Big Data Technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Impala etc. Exposure to Cloud Platform Infrastructure like Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Platform etc. Exposure to Dev ops, CI/CD, Agile processes.
