Job Description: Job Context & Major Challenges : Birla Cellulosic is a Green Field Project of Grasim Industries Ltd. The project was conceptualized in the year 1994 and was fully commissioned in 1999. Brown field project fully commissioned in 2008. The unit has an installed capacity of 400 TPD of Viscose Staple Fibre and is the most modern Viscose Staple Fibre producing unit of Grasim s pulp & Fibre business, with its four manufacturing streams of Viscose Staple Fibre of 400 TPD, 260 TPD salt, 68 TPD Carbon di Sulphide (CS2), 400 TPD of Sulphuric Acid, 2 x 15 MW & 1 x 10MW Thermal Power Plant and other auxiliary plants like Water Treatment, Demineralization & Effluent Treatment Plant etc. Birla Cellulosic has entered into business at a time when globalization is on its peak and quality requirements of the customers are changing very fast. Industrial processes progressively becoming highly sophisticated and integrated. High level of automation & online services though must but alone are not sufficient to meet customer delight. Care for the customers, care for the team/people, fulfilling commitment, work smart & beating the best is the key. Business Manufacturing units are right now observing major cultural changes. Organization s primary focus on Safety, Environment, Quality, and Cost is demanding huge shift in Behavioral changes in work culture. Safety has now become condition of employment. Growing business competition at global level is demanding to set new benchmark level for the Business parameters Major Challenges: 1. Ensure quality recruitments within stipulated time frame, giving a world class feel to the interviewing candidates. 2. Retention of Talents through various HRD systems, strategies and initiatives 3. Coordinating the task forces for improvement in Vibes/Team Vibes survey and create benchmark standards in Organizational Health. 4. Poornata and other CHR /BHR initiatives implementations. 5. Effective TNA and implementation of Training as per the Training calendar. 6. Planning & implementing the development plans and opportunities of Talent Pool members and development paths for critical positions. Key Result Areas (Accountabilities) KRA1 Ensure timely initiation & implementation of Organization Development & Employee Engagement activities as per OD Calendar & Budget. Coordination and organizing various OD activities like R & R, Fun at Work, articles in Onstream, business activities such as Awoo Scholarship, Vibes Survey, Chairman Awards, Pratibha Scholarship, Pride, awesome at ABG etc. apart from activities mentioned in calendar to improve employee engagement and motivation. KRA2 Improve Unit Communication through various initiatives Work on various HRD & OD initiatives to improve communication within the Unit as well as employee’s development. KRA3 Poornata- Timely updation of all modules Ensure 100% Poornata compliance (PeopleSoft) and maintain100% updated and accurate data in the system of all modules like Recruitment/Taleo/WFA/Position Management. KRA4 Ensure timely recruitment of people as per the organizational needs and structure for facilitating smooth functioning to achieve organizational objectives 1. Maintain systems for identification of manpower requirement. 2. Maintain systems for attracting and recruitment of young talent. KRA5 Plan and implement effective Induction & placement of new joinees 1. Arrange for induction program of all new joinees and external Joinees as well. 2. Ensure that new joinees place in their job and residence as early as possible KRA6 Ensure effective utilization of staff though multi-skilling and job rotation and outsourcing Reduce employee cost through organization restructuring and productivity improvement. KRA7 Exit Process 1. Ensure smooth expedition of exit process to maintain Employer Branding. 2. Compilation of Exit Interview Feedback & preparing action plan as per feedback received after evaluation, revamping Exit Policy/Process as & when required. KRA8 Maintain MIS & prepare monthly reports for HR & submitting report pertaining Project Vega/Alpha as per business need Maintain Employee database-Ensure timely submission of Monthly Report such as Recruitment Status, One Page Summary, Position Paper, Prepare data for BHR as & when required. Qualifications: Master in Human Resource Mgmt,MBA Minimum Experience Level: 4-6 Years Report to: Deputy General Manager
