This position is responsible for the overall capability building of the management and production workforce and improving their performance through leading the business unit’s organizational development and talent management strategies.

Responsible for the implementation of the Facility People Strategy for Management as well as Production workforce through effective organizational development and talent management initiatives.
Develop strategies and provide leadership to create high performance work environment, cultural change initiatives supporting Safety and LEAN, employee/career development, leadership development, new leaders coaching and influence consistent behaviours needed to achieve desired business initiatives and results.
Responsible for the Talent reviews and Succession planning for Facility Key roles and create strategies for developing the pipeline candidates.
Monitor learning and development activities and partner closely with the Business Units’ Talent Development and Communication Leads to develop and implement division(s)’ learning plans at the facility level.
Identify and develop strategic and tactical plans in the areas of Production workforce recruitment, learning and skill development based on the Facility Labour strategy including Flexible workforce management.
Monitor performance management systems and fulfil performance requirements through skill development programs for the Production workforce.
Manage divisional Employee Insights Survey process for the employees
Develop/align Enterprise / divisional required learning such as Code of Conduct and other job role required learning for employees.
Responsible for all budgeting, financial matters and metrics related to Talent Development Function
The position’s primary customers are internal. Typical internal customers include the Facility Leadership and various senior contacts across the facility.
This position typically will have 3-4 direct reports supporting in the Management and Production workforce Talent development, recruitment and Skill development initiatives.
The incumbent works with HR Shared Services, Office of Business Practices, BU Talent Development and OE teams and other Global Process Owners to generate understanding and use of key tools and processes within Business Unit.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: The position requires a minimum of 15 years of progressive job-related experience in various Talent management initiatives for the Management and production workforce. The position typically requires a mechanical /Prod engineering degree and HR qualifications with 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions. Candidates from OEM or Tier 1 companies in automotive or engineering companies who have handled more than 1000 employees( Management and Production) are preferred. Relocation is available for this position.
