Introduction:

Run an operations unit within BGSC, across cities and sites, managing process performance in line with agreed SLA and targets. Drive a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders within BGSC and related customer business areas.

What will you be doing?

Strategy

  • Actively participate in the development, articulation and implementation of the operations strategy and plans.
  • Monitor and drive plans to achieve successful completion on time, budget and quality.

Leadership

  • Provide leadership to the process managers and management oversight for issue resolution.
  • Create an environment that encourages staff retention; high levels of staff engagement and ensures employee satisfaction shows a year on year improvement.
  • Embed a culture of focussed on performance management and colleague engagement. Ensure regular reviews and performance management aligned to organizational standards.
  • Contribute in promoting BXas employer of first choice.
  • Serve as single point for Senior stakeholders and ensure timely and accurate report out of critical metrics and information.
  • Set and communicate business goals and objectives for unit. Ensure timely goal setting and periodic feedback for each member of the team.
  • Support and lead change initiatives and contribute toward overall BUK and BX- objectives, including the delivery of the appropriate service level agreements

Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across BX, in India and UK and leaders and executives in BUK.
  • Proactively engage/agree plans and outputs with senior leadership in the customer sending business units (covering Transitions, Service Delivery, Performance Improvements, Issues Resolution and Complaints).
  • Work with functional owners to ensure cohesion between individual department goals.

Operations & Service Management

  • Manage process adherence and deliver to the agreed Service Levels across all processes.
  • Drive process rigour, efficiency and consistency in all processes.
  • Deliver timely and accurate Management Information.
  • Embed agreed Business Continuity Management Plans (Centre / Function /Process levels)
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by using automation, simplification and lean as levers.

Controls and Compliance

  • Manage the RCSA process.
  • Ensure compliance to all specified controls; conduct checks and attestation processes.
  • Improve process controls and proactively identify potential issues. Ensure transparency with stakeholders and work on timely remediation of gaps.

Financial Management

  • Agree and manage departmental budgets and headcount.

Risk and Control Objective [This section is mandatory for all role profiles and must not be deleted]

The role holder will ensure an acceptable standard of work, through financial crime review and sign off procedures, and will ensure that all non-financial crime control procedures are in place and maintained. They will ensure that all reports, sanctions and extension requests are submitted via the correct channels and that the relevant controls and reporting procedures are adhered to. The principle that we will not do business we do not understand will be applied. The role holder will take responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all data that they encounter and will also ensure that no substantive data integrity issues are found. They will drive consistency by ensuring policies and procedures are being applied consistently across all centres.

What we’re looking for:

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Familiar with MS Office and able to use the desktop computer, Proficient in using various communications channels
  • Graduate in any discipline, Preferably a MBA/ PGDBM from a reputed institute
  • 9–14 years of work experience with at least 3 years at a managerial level of leading teams. At least 4 years’ experience in lending operations.Â
  • Experience with leading Financial Services BPOs/Large BPO setup is desirable.
  • Excellent track record during past work experience; Stability in previous roles.
  • Should be flexible for any shifts and work on Indian holidays.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Quality, Lean, Six Sigma methodology.
  • Knowledge about RPA and hands on experience on leading robotic projects.
  • Familiarity with BUK Operations and aligned functions under the its remit.
