Overview
The Mission
The mission of the Logistics Dispatcher is to coordinate the transportation of our customer’s freight per their specifications with accuracy, courtesy, and superb service, which ensures quality customer service and supports continued growth with our customers.
This is not a traditional, reactive routing job. We are seeking a self-motivated professional with the ability to think quickly on their feet, exercise independent judgment, and work with our customers and delivery professionals in a professional and courteous manner daily. Stepping into this critical role, you will act as an operationally driven coordinator who possesses a unique ability to interact with our professional car haulers. By balancing their desires with customer requirements, you will constantly maintain focus on the car hauler’s revenue requirements and company profitability, driving the logistics organization through its next chapter of business growth.
Scope of Impact
Customer & Freight Coordination
- Freight Optimization: Plan, coordinate, and manage loads in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner according to client specifications.
- Service Delivery: Manage the core function of executing freight transportation with unmatched accuracy, courtesy, and superb service to drive client retention.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor all current orders to confirm accurate pick-up and delivery times, keeping a strong focus on established performance standards to achieve all customer requirements.
Account & Carrier Management
- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for customers and professional car haulers, managing all aspects of the dispatch process ranging from initial load assignment to final delivery.
- Relationship Cultivation: Maintain a constant line of communication and build positive, professional relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve transportation, transit, and service issues effectively and professionally; work in cross-functional teams to address and mitigate service disruptions as needed.
- Operational Support: Perform other logistical duties as assigned by the department manager or senior management to support overall network efficiency.

License and Experience Requirements
Education: College degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Experience Level: Minimum of one (1) year of professional logistics or dispatch experience is required, preferably operating within a trucking, hauling, or automotive transport environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid knowledge and understanding of FMCSA and DOT regulations are highly preferred.
Technical Systems: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications, alongside the ability to quickly learn proprietary company-specific logistics programs. Experience with electronic logging systems (E-logs) is a plus.

Environmental & Physical Requirements
This is an active logistics coordination role. It requires the physical capability to perform the essential functions of the job within an office or operational dispatch environment. Typically requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a workstation, utilize standard office and telecommunications equipment, and perform effectively under moderate-stress workplace time constraints.
